Today’s downpour was epic and if you enjoyed it in the warmth of your home you had a perfect time. If however, it caught you on the street and you got soaked, it might have been fun, but things are not so romantic. You see, rainwater is not completely innocent and we will explain why! Before you sit in the rain having romantic movie scenes on your mind, read below…

Rainwater is the softest water without alkaline elements and is very pure. Therefore, it’s perfect for your hair and skin. But there is a huge BUT! Rainwater penetrates the atmosphere before it reaches your head and face and carries with it polluted particles, toxic elements and all the other things that pollute the atmosphere. By the time it lands on you it has become dirty and dangerous even if it looks clean. So what does it do to your hair and skin?

On one hand, rainwater carries pollutants that can cause skin irritation. On the other hand, it makes the moisture evaporate faster from both your hair and skin, as a result of which it “drains” the good moisture of your face, as well as of your scalp. Especially if you have sensitive or very dry or acne-prone skin.
