Gua Sha: The ways to include this beauty tool to your routine

Gua Sha is a tool that comes from Chinese medicine and today more and more people know about the fantastic results it can have for our skin. This particular beauty tool is usually made of jade or pink azure and is used to massage various areas in order to help blood circulation, promote lymphatic drainage and thus reduce swelling, while helping the products to penetrate deep into our skin and provide us with a firm and radiant effect.

The most common way to use it is on the face and it is always used with a moisturizing, rich product such as a serum. The serum you will choose should meet your needs and the goal you want to achieve. If firming is your goal, the CP Glow Serum is the right choice for you, as it has the ability to reduce wrinkles, tone and firm the skin offering a glowing effect. If you want to target any redness and blemishes, choose the CP Original Serum which soothes and hydrates the skin, helping to nourish and fade away blemishes and redness. If you are concerned about discoloration and skin regeneration, we suggest you choose the CP Miracle Serum, which is anti-inflammatory, has healing capacities and helps smooth out blemishes and spots.

After applying your serum, take the Gua Sha and start massaging in upward motions following the lines of your face. This specific beauty tool will help the production of collagen in the skin making it more elastic and firm. In addition, it will cause the skin to lift in a natural way, “exercising” the muscles. With the passing of time, you’ll notice your cheekbones are sharper, your skin is firmer and your face generally has a fresh and youthful glow. Of course, don’t forget the neck area where again you will gently massage, putting a little pressure and with upward movements cover the whole area.

However, we want to share with you a tactic less known to the world, which concerns our body. We should also mention that when Gua Sha began to be used in Chinese medicine many years ago, its use concerned treatments for the body and not for the face. So just as it has miraculous effects on the face, it can prove to be highly effective on our body as well.

We’ve rounded up our favorite ways to use Gua Sha on your body, and we’re convinced they’re worth a try!

For each one of them you need to use a rich, moisturizing and nourishing oil. The Firming Body Oil is a nourishing body oil that has powerful moisturizing and protective capacities that help regenerate and restore cells. It penetrates the skin toning and soothing it – it contains calendula oil which helps to improve blood circulation, reduce the appearance of spider veins and restore skin elasticity and firmness. This is an oil that you can include in your daily body care routine.

Of course in combination with the use of Gua Sha, the benefits are even bigger. Here are the ways we suggest you try Gua Sha for your body care in order to obtain firm and hydrated skin.

1. Massage for cellulite

Place some oil on your hands and then spread it on your legs massaging them. Then take the Gua Sha and place it on the lower part of your calf, keeping it slightly curved and then by putting a little pressure on the tool, move it upwards until you reach the upper part of your calf. Repeat the motion 3 to 4 times and continue with covering the entire area.

2. Relief from grip

If you work in an office and your neck feels tight, Gua Sha is the perfect relief method. Start by placing a little oil on your fingers and then with a gentle massage, place it on the neck area. Start from the top of your neck behind your ear and with little pressure, move the tool up towards your shoulder. Repeat 4 to 5 times and continue on the other side of your neck.

3. On your hands for lymphatic drainage and stagnation

To help your skin stay firm on your hands which is an area that is visibly affected over the years, include hydration in your routine by massaging with Gua Sha. Place the oil on your skin with a gentle massage and then starting from your wrist, pass the beauty tool with a little pressure up to your elbow. Repeat 3 to 4 times and then move on to your upper arm, doing the same from your elbow to your shoulder.
