What does the area where you develop acne indicate about the factor that causes it?

From years ago and specifically in ancient Chinese medicine, there is a scientific connection between the area at which acne appears and the cause behind this fact. You have probably have heard of the term “face mapping” which is precisely referring to the existence of a face “map” and can guide us on the cause behind our pimples and points out that the area in which pimples appear is probably not so random.

So our team has created a detailed map, based on which we will be able to understand what is causing our acne, so that we can deal with it more effectively.

  • Starting from the bottom up and the neck area, which is connected to two basic factors: hormonal imbalance and lymphatic stagnation. Hormonal disorders is one of the most common causes of acne appearance. According to our age they may vary – menstrual disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, infertility and many other issues can also have an impact on our skin.

  • Lymphatic stagnation has to do with our lymphatic system which is responsible for cleansing of toxins from our body. With the help of a fluid – the lymph, it detoxifies all the toxins that surround the tissues in our body and is also particularly important for the body’s defense, as well as the nourishment of the various wounds. So when our lymphatic system is blocked and can’t function properly and the fluid accumulates, this is very likely to become visible on our skin as well. Since the toxins “stick” around our neck and jaw, our skin in response can experience major or minor acne breakouts. Physical activity, neck and jaw massage, healthy eating and adequate water consumption are key factors that can help our lymphatic system work properly.

  • With regards to our chin area, the factors that seem to be related are hormonal imbalance, our intolerance to certain foods, intense stress and anxiety, as well as constipation issues.

  • The pimples that appear on the jaw line are associated with hormonal as well as emotional imbalance.

  • Our cheeks are connected to the factors of stress, food intolerance – problems in our digestive system and poor detoxification of our body.

  • The upper lip, as well as the area under the eyes, may be related to factors related to our stomach, while the lower eye line may be related to thyroid issues and the upper eyelid to our kidneys.

  • Our lower lip is likely to be associated with matters involving the small intestine, the front of the nose with the heart and the bridge of it with the stomach.

  • In the eyebrow area, the appearance of acne between our eyebrows may be related to allergies that often involve various foods. The right and left sides of the middle of our eyebrows are associated with the spleen and liver respectively.

  • Our forehead area in general is connected to stress, anxiety, food intolerance and poor detoxification of the body. More specifically, the center of our forehead may be related to the small intestine and the outer and greater area of the forehead to the large intestine.

This map is based on scientific data and can give us an indication of identifying the factor that causes our acne. However, it is always necessary to proceed with a relevant checkup to see if it is indeed this specific factor in our case.
