How many times a day should I clean my skin?

Very often we get asked ‘How often do I have to clean my face?’ Regardless of our skin type, our face should be washed at least twice a day – in the morning and at night.

Even though the cleansing process seems to be the same every time, our soap works differently in the morning and differently at night. What do we mean by that?

The goal for cleansing the face at night is to remove makeup, the impurities and the germs hiding in our pores.

We recommend you start out with The Pure Cleansing Oil – this particular product melts makeup, removes oiliness (because as you know oil dissolves oil) and absorbs any impurity trapped in the pores. The power of this product lies in its ability of deeply cleansing with oils which are not being absorbed but provides immense nutritional value to the skin.

Next, we recommend continuing your face cleansing with one of our two gels (The Toning Cleansing Gel & The Calming Cleansing Gel). When used after The Pure Cleansing Oil, these gels have the ability of penetrating deeper into the pores of the skin, acting more effectively.

It’s important that you are aware that when we use two different face cleansing products with different textures, we ensure absolute cleanliness on our face and at the same time we benefit from the qualities of the herbs contained in each product.

Contrary to the night, the goal of morning cleansing is to prepare the surface of our skin to effectively absorb care products.

Every night, our skin regenerates and as a result every morning we have dead cells on the surface of our skin that are not visible to the naked eye. Therefore, if you remove these impurities from the skin, the rest of the products you use will work more effectively and you will see a difference in a shorter period of time.

Moreover, it’s important that when you go to the gym or when you are in the outdoors heat and sweat, you clean your face again to prevent bacterial accumulation and ensure your skin’s health.

As already mentioned, the cleansing process of our skin is exactly the same, only the ‘goal’ changes.

Lastly, we recommend that you wash your skin with lukewarm water. Lukewarm water stimulates blood circulation, resulting in the skin ‘waking up’ and looking rejuvenated. Very cold water tightens the pores of the skin so much that impurities are not being released and acne is being created. On the other hand, very hot water over-opens the pores, disturbs skin’s balance and causes dryness. Therefore, the golden rule is to use lukewarm water.
